House Project: Couch Lover

It's like having a new boyfriend.  I'm obsessed.  I keep staring.  Find myself smiling.  Don't worry, I'm not flying the coop or anything crazy like that.  It's just that......I'm in love with my new couch!!

We bought the super size family couch (read an earlier post about it here) after Genevieve was born.  It was well loved, well worn, and well...ugly.  It wasn't the right scale for our house, you couldn't see the TV or the fireplace and it took up too much room.  This is just the beginning of the long list of convincing reasons I've been firing at Drew for the past year, steadily building my case for the purchase of this sleek, simple beauty.

It's a hide-a-bed too, so we'll have no shortage of beds when guests come.

Now that we have less couch and more space, Drew is in the process of designing a larger dining room table that will seat eight.

It's dark and rainy outside, my garden has mostly been put to bed, and I'm happily turning my attention inside.  Rehanging.  Re-arranging.  And dusting.  Lots of dusting.
