Marguerite: When I hear another kid crying or having sadness, I feel hotness and tightness in the area where my heart-that-is-not-shaped-like-a-heart is. Where my blood gets pumped in my chest. And sometimes I have wetness in my eyes too.
Me: That's called empathy, baby. That's an important thing to be able to feel.
Marguerite: It's strong. The feeling. I think it's a power.
Me: I think so too.
