My Day

Things started out just right with an early morning bike ride to the playground yesterday and a chance to visit with my mom on the phone while Drew actively parented (sarcasm intended):

I recently blog griped about not getting to spend enough time outside working in the garden and enjoying this sun soaked spring.  Yesterday, when the opportunity presented itself with a napping baby, preoccupied Genevieve, and eager-to-do yard work Drew you would think I would have jumped at the chance to be outside.  But no.  Instead, I laid down on the couch under the purple quilt for nearly two hours pouring over my favorite catalogs and magazines and was oh so decadently happy.

To top those blissful two hours off, Marguerite continued sleeping so Drew and I split a bottle of champagne on the cottage porch in the sunshine, planned out our distant future Koi pond, and clinked glasses over my fourth Mother's Day.
