Easter Bunnie Preparations

As Genevieve descended the stairs at some too early hour this morning she called down, "Mom!  I'm ready to dye Easter eggs.  Like right now.  Even before I pee and have breakfast."  After much negotiating about the importance of peeing and eating breakfast we slogged through meeting basic needs and launched into egg dyeing.

I haven't dyed eggs since I was a kid myself so I had a bit of a learning curve.  Doing any project with G usually tosses some unforeseen obstacles my way too.  Eggs, food coloring, a youtube tutorial on marbeleizing = potential disaster.

But we did it!  We concocted every color of the rainbow for not.  Genevieve made a strong case that the Easter Bunny only likes pink and purple.  Here's what we started with:

Here's where we ended up:

After we tucked Marguerite in for her nap, Genevieve hauled down this basket of friends for the Easter Bunny to say hello to, and "to give some of the candy to so our whole family doesn't get fat."  Good thinking G.
