You Can Take the Girl Out of the Country, but...

We went on an urban adventure today.  Yes, I realize that Everett isn't exactly a booming metropolis, but compared to this little town and our big valley it's a whole different world.

We met up with my former college roomies and dear friends Heather and Nicole and almost all of our kiddos at the Everett Children's Museum.  We juggled each others kids, talked a mile a minute any kid lull we had, shared snacks and baby wipes, and laughed a lot.

My girls started out wide eyed and shy by the whole scene.  As soon as Marguerite found this gigantic rat to haul around she started having fun.  Doesn't she know about my rodent phobia??  Look at that nasty tail:

Genevieve clung to my leg until we found the farm and wild animal sanctuary.  Do you see what I mean about not being able to take the country out of the girl?:

I rounded out our urban experience by picking up Thai takeout on our way home for dinner.  Thank you Heather and Nicole for sharing this fine day.
