Pumpkin Sharing

The first party we were invited to in Edison was Scott and Renee's annual pumpkin carving party.  Nell was just a toddler and I remember watching her scoot around on her tricycle in the midst of pumpkin guts, cider mugs, soup bowls and lots of grown ups who I hoped to become friends with.

Five years and a baby boom later, I overheard Genevieve  talking to the pumpkin she planted and telling it she hoped it would make lots of pumpkins so she could share them with all of the kids at the pumpkin carving party in the fall.

Sweet G.  Sweet Edison.
